Our latest Ladies' Supper Club theme was inspired by art. I decided to pick a Campari-based cocktail inspired by
Massimo Vitali's Italian beach scenes.
I figured that much like Vitali's work my cocktail would look nice but
gesture at "the sinister elements, like cosmetic fakery […] commodified
leisure […]
and rigid conformism behind scenes of supposed normality." Art theory
aside, it turned out to be a delicious and refreshing cocktail perfect
for the recent heat waves we've been having.

Ingredients
- 2 cups freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1/2 cup St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
- 1/4 cup Campari
- 1 bottle chilled sparkling wine
Directions
Combine
the grapefruit juice, St-Germain and Campari in a pitcher and chill for
at least 2 hours. Fill glasses with the mixture and top off with
sparkling wine.
